Charities We Support

GPT Academy is committed to making a difference in communities throughout the UK.

With this in mind we are continually looking to build new community projects working and sourcing funding to help people do better through training.
These projects include working with young people at risk of not been in education, people that are currently unemployed or employed that are needing to upskill themselves to change careers and build a brighter future.

Big Joe’s Boxing Community Project

We at Global Partnership have created a safe place to learn boxing with Actor Big Joe Egan and Mike Tyson’s sparring partner for many years.
We have created a program that currently has 40 young people every week benefit from, working with Bradfords youth services and local schools to build a successful community project.

About Walking With The Wounded

Established in 2010, Walking With The Wounded supports a pathway for vulnerable veterans to re-integrate back into society and sustain their independence. At the heart of this journey is employment.

They offer assistance through a wide variety of programmes to those vulnerable veterans who have been physically, mentally or socially disadvantaged by their service, and assist in sustaining independence through new sustainable careers outside of the military.

Walking Home For Christmas 2017

In December 2017, our Head of Training and Development Peter Clarke embarked on a sponsored walk in aid of Walking With The Wounded.

Each year, the charity launches its Walking Home For Christmas campaign, which encourages fundraisers to take part in a sponsored walk over the festive period from their school or workplace to their home.

Peter pledged to walk from Leeds to Halifax to raise money for the cause. Leaving Leeds on the morning of 21st December, he walked a total of 10.7 miles before reaching Halifax. Undeterred by the rain, the journey took him approximately four hours in total.

Total raised: £1000
